Getting Ready For 2015

96 Spirit of Qatar Crew Chief Mike Hanson and the team have been busy working on motors, gear boxes and spare parts for the boat while they wait for the boat to arrive back in the USA. Mike tells us they will have extra fairings (vertical wings) cowlings and bull noses in the inventory for the upcoming season. Mike has also been spending time in the engine room and on the dyno. The two motors that ran in Doha have been cleaned and readied for action and will join the third race ready motor and a fourth one that is being built. The boat received no significant damage at the Oryx Cup and is expected back in the Ballard shop the second week in February. In the photo - Jeff Minar is finishing a new fairing.
