Next Up - Mint 400.

Ellstrom Racing's next event will be the Mint 400 March 2 - 5, on a desert course 15 miles South of Las Vegas. The race is part of the Best In Desert Series, where driver Sven Ellstrom and co-driver Matt Rutz scored an impressive class victory in their debut last December.

Surgery to remove screws from Sven's foot forced the team to skip the 2017 King of the Hammers event in California in early February. The screws had been in place since an off-road motorcycle accident two years ago. The foot is healing well and Sven will be ready to go for the Mint 400.

Co-driver Rutz will not be available and will be replaced for this event by Ryan Holz, the son of Mark Holz, owner of Holz Racing of Lynden, Washington. The younger Holz has extensive experience co-driving, navigating and crewing for his dad at many off-road events.
