J.W. Myers Ready For H1 Return

After spending the Fourth Of July weekend in Madison, Indiana subbing for Cal Phipps in the Wiggins Racing U-27, J.W. Myers is ready to go racing in Ellstrom Racing's U-16. After an absence from the sport, JW needs to be re-qualified as a driver and got most of the laps he needs for that while driving conservatively on the Ohio River.

Myers says, "As near as I can tell, I need one more lap at 130+ to be re-qualified. We accomplished everything we wanted to in Madison, running all weekend without doing any damage to the boat and putting it back on the trailer in one piece Sunday night. It was great for Ellstrom Racing that I got most of my laps in in the process."

After a five year absence from Unlimited racing, Myers returns to the team where he scored his only win on the H1 Unlimited circuit. In 2005 JW won the Madison Regatta driving for Ellstrom Racing. He also scored second place finishes in Evansville and Detroit.

Team owner Erick Ellstrom is finalizing plans for the 2017 season in meetings with Oberto and will announce the team's schedule soon.
